Buddhism and Meditation

Drop-in classes:

We meet every Thursday evening at the Friends Meeting House in Letchworth. Come at around 7:15 for a 7:30 start.

We break for tea and a chat around 8:30 and continue till around 9:45. You're welcome to come for the first half of the evening or the full evening.

Our evening starts with meditation, including instruction, and as always the evening is suitable both for those new to Buddhism and meditation and for those with more experience.

Life with Full Attention course, February-April 2018

We are currently doing an 8-week mindfulness course called 'Life with Full Attention', based around Maitreyabandhu's book of the same name. As the book blurb says:

In this eight-week course on mindfulness, Maitreyabandhu guides you through a series of exercises that help you to pay closer attention to your everyday experiences. Life With Full Attention provides a great starting point for Buddhist teachings on mindfulness and a great refresher.

You can join the course at any time, so if you're interested but have missed a few weeks, don't worry! It's also not compulsory to be at every week if you can't manage all eight.

We recommend buying the book, but we also have some library copies available.

Events for Regulars:

Regular members of the group are welcome to join one of our 'Going Deeper' Saturdays, which usually happen once a month. These include some meditation, Buddhist study and possibly a puja (a Buddhist ritual).

The next Going Deeper date is Saturday 31st March 2018.
